Roger Diaz

MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner | Adjunct Professor | DNP Candidate

Roger Diaz is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep commitment to integrative, evidence-based mental health care. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Roger began his nursing career in 2015 after graduating from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where he later earned his master’s degree in nursing. Since 2019, he has provided compassionate psychiatric care to individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on collaborative treatment and patient education.
In addition to his clinical work, Roger serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program at UTEP, where he mentors future generations of mental health professionals. Currently pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), his academic and clinical interests include expanding access to quality mental health services and exploring the therapeutic benefits of ketamine in treatment-resistant conditions.
Roger is dedicated to serving his community through culturally competent, person-centered care that bridges the gap between mental and physical wellness. His goal is to help patients achieve long-term wellness through personalized, integrative psychiatric treatment.

Darrell Benko

Dual-Certified Nurse Practitioner | DNP Candidate

Darrell Benko is a dual-certified Nurse Practitioner in both Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and Psychiatric Mental Health, with advanced certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing. A native of El Paso, Darrell has been practicing nursing since 2010 and brings a wealth of experience across both primary and mental health care settings.
Currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Texas at El Paso, Darrell’s clinical philosophy centers on patient-centered, holistic, and evidence-based care. He is passionate about integrative medicine and fosters a collaborative approach that empowers patients in their healing journey. His practice focuses on treating the whole person—not just the symptoms—while remaining deeply attuned to culturally focused care and meaningful, measurable outcomes.
Darrell’s comprehensive approach draws from years of multidisciplinary experience, allowing him to support the diverse needs of his patients and guide them toward lasting health and wellness.

Viridiana Diaz, BSN, RN

Viridiana Diaz is a committed registered nurse with a career in healthcare that began in 2007. Throughout her years of service, she has worked with varied populations across Texas, bringing compassion, clinical knowledge, and a strong sense of advocacy to every role. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Utah University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Psychiatric Mental Health at Texas Woman’s University.
As the Office Manager and Co-Owner of Calming Spaces Mental Health, Viridiana is passionate about promoting accessible, inclusive, and stigma-free mental health care. Her special interests include postpartum support, neurodiversity, and the development of all-abilities inclusive practices for both clients and their families.
Viridiana is known for her warm, client-centered approach and her dedication to operational excellence. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her family and friends.
